Bring the two parts of the belt across the lap, insert the catch (1) into the buckle (4) until it clicks home.

  • The belt should be close to the body, without being too tight.
Ist length can be adjusted by sliding the strap, using the adjustment buckle(5).
Unfastening:
  • Press the red release button (6) to undo the belt.
After using the belt, insert the catch tounge into its holder (2) in the stowed position.
Checking inertia reel seat belts: Take hold of the strap by the catch tounge, as for putting the belt on; pull the belt sharply, the reel must lock.

Cleaning the belts: See under Maintenance, page 28.

Replacement: It is necessary to replace the belt when it has been in use in a serious accident, or if it shows signs of severe fraying or of having been cut.

N.B.: Do not modify the belts or their fixings in any way, since such changes may render the belts ineffective.
