WHY CITROËN RECOMMENDS TOTAL |
The technological developments
which have been applied to the various components of motor vehicles make
it clear that close collaboration between the technical departments of
car manufacturers and the laboratories of oil companies is more and more
necessary. The collaboration between Citroën and Total started in 1964; it became closer and closer until 1967 when it was put into words: |
"CITROËN RECOMMENDS TOTAL" |
Thousands of hours have since
been devoted to joint research and testing in laboratories as well as on
the road. Research and testing are still going on: they have made it possible to develop products meeting Citroën optimal requirements for their vehicles. They will also make it possible to improve these products constantly, which not only include engine oils, but also hydropneumatic suspension fluids, automatic transmission fluids, brake fluids, gearbox oils, anti-freeze for cooling systems, etc. These past years of co-operation as well as the new programme already under way have made Citroën's constant insistence on providing their vehicles with the best running and maintenance conditions a reality: when choosing TOTAL, Citroën customers can be sure of obtaining high-quality products: the descriptions of these products can be found in the present manual. |
