Engine cold
|
- Do not touch the accelerator
pedal.
- Pull choke control (2) fully out.
The incorporated warning lamp lights up.
- Operate the starter motor until
the engine runs.
- Let the engine rotate for a while
in neutral without racing it.
- Progressively push the choke
control back according to the engine temperature.
- When the engine temperature is
high enough, push the choke control fully home, the incorporated
warning lamp must go out.
|
N.B.: |
When the ambient temperature is
below 0°C (32°F), it is easier to start the engine by
depressing the clutch pedal while operating the starter (gear lever
in neutral). Once the engine is running, wait a few seconds before
releasing the clutch pedal progressively. |
Engine warm
|
- Do not use choke (2).
- Fully depress the accelerator
pedal and keep it depressed.
- Operate the starter and, as soon
as the engine starts, release the accelerator pedal.
In mountainious areas after a short stop:
- Operate the starter motor without
depressing the accelerator.
- When the engine starts, accelerate
progressively to avoid stalling.
- If the engine does not start at
idling speed, pull the choke out to the intermediate position.
|
Before
engaging first gear |
The engine oil pressure warning lamp
(3) must go out.
If necessary, reduce the engine speed by progressively pushing the
choke control in.
After a few minutes driving, the choke being no longer necessary,
push it fully home. |
